Disrupt complacency. Create opportunities.

At GoKart Labs, people are the center of everything we do. We believe the best work happens when the people in our labs reflect the remarkable diversity of our world. We believe GoKarters should enrich our culture, not just accept it. We encourage you to bring your authentic self to work because we respect who you are, who you love, the color of your skin, the holidays you celebrate and your life experiences.

Our Business & Work — Having a diverse staff means we have multiple voices on different issues. When we collaborate with people outside our experience, we are better able to build solutions that help everyone.

Cultural Competence — Creating an authentic culture takes intention and discipline to get right. To create an inclusive culture, we need to make sure people entering our space feel like they can add to and improve our culture, not assimilate into it.

Staffing — Working in financial services, healthcare and education means we create products meant for huge portions of society. We value a diverse and inclusive staff because our experience should reflect the people who we impact.

Community — We are one piece of a larger society and we want to do our part. Reaching out to the community to build strong relationships is crucial. That’s why we feel so strongly that our staff should reflect the community in which we live and work.

Career/Growth — It’s important to us to grow the careers of those we don’t currently represent. Nothing will change if we keep hiring and growing the talent of those who come from the same background.

What diversity and inclusion means to us

GoKart Labs has a lack of diversity. What started as an innocent byproduct of a startup hiring through our networks has become more than a staffing problem. Our company culture, the work we create, the careers we grow and the communities we reach are impacted by a lack of representation. We know we can do better.
